So, for a little history...

It will be narrated so that the beginning will be the present, and the end, the beginning of my life, so that the circle may neatly close.

Currently (1/2001) I am studying for a PhD degree in electrical engineering at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.
I graduated from the University of Trieste, Italy in Oct. 2000 with a degree in electronics engineering/automatic controls branch.
In 1994 I finished high school at the scientific lycaeum "N. Copernico" in Udine, Italy.
From 1990-1992 I was in Naples, Italy at the scientific lycaeum "E. Majorana". Seemingly, my parents have a hard time finding out where it is they like to live. Hopefully they will stay in Udine, where they currently are, and grow old together.
From 1988-1990 I attended St. Martin's Episcopal School, in Metairie, LA.
I was in Naples from 1982-1988 and I was at the NATO "M. Montessori Anglo-Italian school", from 2nd grade to 7th.
I was born in Philadelphia, PA on the twenty-second day of January in the year of the country's bicentennial.

So where am I from?
My Pakistani friend Tabish would say:

"If you cut a plant's roots, the plant will not grow".

As I said, I graduated in Electronics Engineering and my thesis (which I cannot put on the net, yet) was on gait adaptation on walking robots. It was completed at the Johns Hopkins University with Prof. Ralph Etienne-Cummings as my advisor and Prof. Agostino Accardo as my advisor in Trieste. For more information see our labs web-page.

For now, these are the technical articles I have written, if you're curious to see what I'm dealing with:

Investigation on using Kernels with Q-learning for gait adaptation on visually guided walking robots
